Surface Mount Junction Box Enclosure for Unifi G5 Turret Ultra Camera
This is an enclosure/box/mount for the Unifi G5 Turret Ultra camera. The plastic enclosure attaches directly to the Turret base plate using small screws (included with each enclosure). You'll then use the mounting screws which were included with the Turret camera to attach the plastic enclosure to your wall or ceiling. The advantage to this enclosure is that it can completely contain the ethernet cable from the camera as well as the weather-sealed ethernet connector. In many applications, it is not possible or desirable to drill a large hole to pass this connector through, so this enclosure lets you contain everything right behind the camera, and it is sleeker than a large junction box. A perfect use case for this enclosure is replacing an older Bullet camera with a Turret where you already have an existing cable protruding from the wall or ceiling. The base of the enclosure is 75x120mm or 2.95x4.72 inches.Stainless steel screws are included with each camera mount/enclosure to attach the camera to the enclosure and attach the enclosure to your surface. If you are attaching to drywall or masonry then you will need to supply plastic wall anchors (readily and cheaply available at any hardware store). These are 3D printed ABS parts which we make in-house (so you can expect some small aesthetic imperfections) and we can make them in white or black (please contact us for other colors). ABS is a sturdy high temperature plastic with high impact resistance and good UV resistance compared to the more commonly used PLA plastic. ABS also accepts paint nicely, which will be useful if you plan to paint these to match your house colors. We strongly suggest using a primer before painting.
