With a 1/3" progressive scan CCD, the camera unit produces motion blur-free video in daylight whereas the 2.8-10mm zoom lens takes care of varied area of coverage. 20-bit digital signal and image processing augments this CCTV camera's ability by revealing details in video image. While the NDN-498V03-22PS camera switches automatically from day-mode to night mode and vice versa, its NightSense feature in conjunction with SensUp dynamic enables moonlight-viewing (up to 0.0099 lux in monochrome) by increasing the sensitivity of the IP camera. On the other hand, the 2X-Dynamic Engine produces images with high dynamic range from high-contrast daylight visuals. In tricky backlit situations, the network camera's SmartBLC feature compensates for strong back light in order to reproduce a clear view of subject in the foreground.
